Disclaimer Not Connected with the Developer
TheFreeFileSync is an independent website. We are not the developer of FreeFileSync, and we are not connected with, supported by or approved by the developer. Our guides are written by us, and they are not official documents of the developer.
Trademarks
FreeFileSync, GoodSync, Syncthing, rsync, Robocopy, TeraCopy and all other product names on this website belong to their owners. We use these names only to describe the products. Their use does not mean that the owners support our website.
Software and Downloads
The software that you can download from this website is made by its developer. We offer the free standard edition without any change, and we show the file size and the checksum so that you can check it. We cannot promise that the software is free of errors, that it fits your needs, or that every antivirus program will accept it.
We do not give official support for the software. For help with the software itself, please use the official support channels of the developer. The standard edition is for personal use by private individuals. Businesses, organizations, government offices and private persons who use it for paid work must get the Business Edition from the developer. We do not offer the Donation Edition or the Business Edition.
Data Loss and Backup
Sync and backup tools can copy, replace and delete files. A wrong setting, such as the wrong sync mode or the wrong folder order, can remove files that you wanted to keep. Before you use a sync tool on important data, test it on test folders, read the preview, and keep a separate backup in another place. We are not responsible for any loss of files or data that comes from using the software or from following our guides.
Accuracy of Reviews and Comparisons
Our reviews and comparisons are based on official documents, release notes, published expert reviews, user reviews and our own research. When we could not confirm a detail, we say so in the article. Software, prices, plans and features change often, so please check the official website of each product before you decide. Opinions in our articles are our own, and they are not a promise of a result for you.
